Pool Rules

Swimming is not allowed when the pool is partially or fully covered with the pool tarp. This is a state law and must be adhered to for your protection.  We are looking for volunteers to help place and take off the pool cover. Lessons on how to remove the pool cover can be arranged.

You may bring floats and rafts and use at your discretion. As a reminder, when the floatation device is not in use, please remove your equipment from the water as young children may get trapped underneath the raft or float. We do not furnish snack service and you can feel free to bring food and beverages for your enjoyment.

  • Please, no glass containers of any kind.
  • Place garbage in trash bin.
  • Place plastic and aluminum cans in recycling bin.

This summer, we will not have a lifeguard, so please make sure that you make appropriate provisions for supervision of children and adults. An adult must supervise children under 14.

Standard pool etiquette and safety (no running, no throwing people in, etc.) should always be observed, for your protection.

The maximum occupancy of the pool is 100 people.

Have a water safe summer at Oak Springs Pool!

"This place is awesome! It is the first swimming pool in Orinda, despite what the good folks at Park Pool say. It is a little bit funky, but the least ostentatious place to swim in Orinda. In short, its Xtreme!

As a kid we spent many a stereotypical and nostalgia creating afternoon there. Its where the community/"hill" came together. On the fourth of July we always had a huge BBQ with everyone coming, with everything from a greased watermelon to the parents throwing quarters into the pool and the kids diving for them.

Although I missed the Fourth this year, I imagine things are pretty much the same. Everything else is. Its a great place to swim laps under the oaks (Thankfully there's still a mix of shade and sun), float, have a water fight, have a chicken fight, bbq the chicken that lost the fight :), or go off one of the only honest to god diving boards in Orinda. Actually, it is the only diving board I know of in Orinda."
